Creativity and the World of Game Design
By WelshDog (Lyndon Williams)
Creativity has always been my refuge. As my physical abilities changed, my creative energy found new outlets, especially in the world of game design. It started with small projects—filters on Effect House, fun ideas like a game where cats and dogs jumped over fences. It was lighthearted, playful, but it opened a door to something bigger. I became fascinated with the idea of creating viral content, blending creativity with social interaction.
One of my early successes was the "Glitching Robot" character—a creation that flickered and malfunctioned, capturing that edgy, dystopian vibe I loved. Then came the "Horror Pairs Game" for Halloween—a mix of gameplay and storytelling that brought my love for spooky tales into the digital realm. Each project fueled the next, driving me to push boundaries, explore new concepts, and refine my skills.
Game design has given me a new way to express myself, a way to combine the visual with the interactive. I found joy in creating these digital experiences, in crafting something from scratch that people could enjoy. Each new game was like a puzzle, and I thrived on the challenge of piecing it together. This wasn’t just about going viral—it was about sharing a part of myself with the world.
